It’s April Fool’s Day right? Please tell me it is. That is the only way that I can comprehend this article, it has to be a joke. I have to admit that I read some of this article at a stop light on my way into work this morning and nearly vomited on my steering wheel. I am all for helping kids along their way but the DISD has taken this to a completely new level, why don’t they just hand them diplomas on the first day of school and save everyone a lot time and hassle.
I was never that dedicated to school until I got into college, luckily I was also not one of the guys that didn't know whether they were going to graduate until the day before. But with these new rules it makes me think that I could have even been Valedictorian and not put in any more effort than I did.

Yeah - I read that too and it ticked me off. Talk about sending the kids the wrong message. And then they are going to wonder why their tests scores are still low and they are still in trouble with the state and why all the good teachers will leave for other districts.
